The son disappears

During the climactic fight with the Executioner, after Leon fails to pull the pin on the grenade (the safety lever is still in place).
Leon: What’s up, Tux?
It wouldn’t have gone off, it would have been better to hit him with it. Okay, the cover and the title of the movie were enough to make me stop and pay attention to this movie. Of course, I had never heard of this movie by director Bruce Wemple, so I didn’t know what to expect. But the fact that it was a horror movie I hadn’t seen before was more than enough to make me sit down and give it a try.
So, getting through 88 minutes of this movie was a bit of a struggle
Writers Bruce Wemple and Lejon Woods cobbled together a fairly weak plot that proved neither too entertaining nor too scary. I have to admit, I was hoping for a little more, given the film’s cover. I wasn’t familiar with the cast in the film, but it has to be said that while the plot was rubbish, the acting was actually fair. It’s not a particularly great horror film, nor is it one that I’ll ever grace my screen a second time, as it was boring enough to watch the first time.
The film uses very few special effects
Visually, then, "The Hangman" also didn’t impress. And as for the creature seen on the film’s cover, don’t get your hopes up, as it’s barely even in the film. The film’s cover was actually the best part of the whole ordeal. If you like horror movies, I wouldn’t recommend wasting 88 minutes watching this 2024 film directed by Bruce Wemple.
The rating for "The Hangman" lands at a very generous three out of ten stars
