A grieving therapist begins telling his clients exactly what he thinks
Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making major changes in people’s lives, including his own. The cast of “Shrinking” shares their defining moments from Season 1 and reveals who does the best Harrison Ford impression. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and that he would audition people who were similar to Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least get him to Ford first, thinking that he would reject him outright, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford was brought on board, generating interest from other notable actors.
The acting was great
In the end, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was elated nonetheless. Featured on WatchMojo: The 10 Best TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). This was a solid production and a unique story.
Is it perfect?
I love how each character embraces their imperfections and shows vulnerability and uses humor to achieve spiritual growth. Shrink has a lot of heartwarming moments, awkward moments, slightly funny cute moments, and laugh out loud moments. I hope they keep making more seasons because the character development justifies it. No.
But none of us are
I think the overuse of swear words detracts from the overall power potential here. It’s almost like the writers are forcing the show to be edgy. Personally, I don’t think it needed it. That’s why I gave it an 8.
