Amidst the bitter conflict of the twin cities of Piltover and Zaun, two sisters fight on opposite sides in a war between magical technologies and conflicting beliefs. Fortiche Productions recorded a music video titled “Get Jinxed” for Riot in 2013, featuring Jinx and the city of Piltover. Riot was so impressed with the work that they asked Fortiche to create an animated series, which took them several years to create.

After the release of the first season, Riot announced that there would be a second season and that it would take less time to produce. Starring in Crazy Cartoon AniMat: Geeked Week for Freaks (2021). The animation is simply exquisite

Made by Imagine Dragons ft J.I.D., Arcane tells the story of two young orphaned sisters growing up and getting into trouble in the dual cities of Zaun and Piltover. The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and while it throws you right into that fictional world, the necessary time and attention is taken to set up the locations and characters in a commendable show-don’t-tell manner. The solid character development and world-building means that it’s a thoroughly enjoyable watch, even if you know nothing about the game.

There’s incredible attention to detail

As an anime fan, I find the animation in Arcane to be far superior to anything I’ve ever seen in an animated series. It’s clear that no artistic talent or expense was spared to bring the world of Runeterra to life. Great soundtrack, great acting, and an engaging story that doesn’t mince words when it comes to violence and more adult themes.

Only the first three episodes have been released so far, and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!
